MARGE 22nd October 2007

Aunt Norma told Shirley she had to be careful to not say she wanted something in front of me because Marge would see to it that she got it! Ha!Ha! Shirley was telling her about a beautiful "JESUS" cross fiber optic light and was telling Aunt Norma the last time that we saw her that it was really something and Aunt Norma told Shirley she bet it was but she didn't want me to know she said that because I'd buy it. The funny thing is that I had planned on getting it for her that Christmas to go with her awesome Jesus wall grouping in her dining room. Aunt Norma had ordered 3 "HEARTS OF GOLD" necklace's for me, Shirley & Sharon for Christmas before she died and told Wilma to make sure that I got to pick out what one I wanted. We 3 girl's cherish our necklace's and there kept in a safe place so that nothing will happen to them. Aunt Norma told Wilma ...3 hearts for my 3 girl's! Then I wrote that "HEART OF GOLD" Poem in her memory and didn't even know at that time about those necklace's even existing! That was one of those coincidence's where God chose to remain annonymous! I can't re-call even one time where I personally heard Aunt Norma say anything nasty about anyone. Grandma used to say if you can't get along with Norma you can't get along with anyone! Aunt Norma was such a sensitive person. She was always very self conscience about her weight, but to me she was GORGEOUS inside and outside! She had a gentle spirit like no one that I've ever met. She was always careful NOT to offend anyone for fear they might not come back. She sure did enjoy Ed Land's daughter Jenny going to her house for lunch. Grandma Phillips loved living with Aunt Norma & Uncle Don. The Doyle's were so good to Grandma. Aunt Norma had to work and had Uncle Don to worry about and yet she still did the honorable thing and took Grandma into their home to try to keep her out of a nursing home. Aunt Norma always wanted to have Grandma back with her & her family but couldn't because of injuring her foot at the nursing home where she worked for over 20 years and wasn't able to help take care of Grandma anymore. It really bothered Aunt Norma ALOT that she wasn't able to continue to be there for Grandma. Aunt Norma would say to me, Marge I wish I could take mom back here but I'm just not able too. Grandma was always very good to Aunt Norma & Uncle Don helping them with transportation so Aunt Norma could get to and from work since she didn't have a driver's license. So, Aunt Norma wanted to be there as best she could be for Grandma.
